Vaseline Filter

This image was taken by using a vaseline filter, which for those who haven't heard of it is exactly what it sounds like.

I used an old scratched up UV filter and spread a very thin layer of vaseline onto it, then went out and shot. It works best on highly contrasted images and scenes with clearly defined shapes, like this one....silhouetted trees against the sunset.
